OUR 2019 BUCKET LIST

2019 bucket list

We’re well into January now so I thought I better get on with writing this post before it’s too late! I absolutely love making plans at the beginning of a new year and getting excited for what’s to come. So here’s what we’re planning and hoping to achieve in 2019…

Save money

First and foremost, this year is the year we save money! Our ultimate goal is to be in a position to start thinking about buying a house by the end of the year. We are notoriously bad at saving money, but I have a good feeling about this year.

Eurocamp

We worked with Eurocamp last year when we visited Marina Di Venezia in Italy, and we would love to do a Eurocamp holiday again this year. Destinations we are considering are Switzerland, Holland and the south of France.

UK cities

If you’ve followed my blog for a while you’ll know that we are slowly working our way through the entire list of UK cities. Last year I think we only managed two cities which is pretty poor. We are hoping to tick at least five off the list this year.

Butlins

We LOVE Butlins. I’ve been a huge fan since I was little and my kids love it just as much as I did. We wanted to go last year but didn’t get the chance, so we definitely plan to return at some point in 2019.

Visit Amsterdam

I’m not sure whether this one will actually happen this year, what with us trying to save money. But, it’s something that I would love to do. Our options are to either tie it in with a Eurocamp holiday or as a city break, possibly without the kids.

Be more organised

This was on last years bucket list and we did make a start towards the end of the year, we just need to make sure it continues this year. I’m trying to declutter, be more organised and just generally have less stuff around the house. I’ve been watching Marie Kondo on Netflix and it’s definitely giving me the motivation I need.

Create videos again

I stopped doing YouTube last year as I felt it was to time consuming considering the amount of views I was getting. I decided I was better focusing my energy on my blog and Instagram instead. But I’ve really started to miss making videos and I think it’s something I’d like to start doing again. I’m not saying that I’ll be uploading to YouTube every week or anything, but having family videos of holidays and birthdays are so special and something I would love to be able to look back on.

Fall back in love with photography

Over the last year I’ve really fallen out of love with photography and I want that to change. I used to love taking photos, in fact it was one of the main reasons I started this blog in the first place. I got a new camera a few months ago and James bought me a new lens for Christmas so I’m really starting to enjoy taking photos again. I’d love to do a photography course too.

Be healthier

I know, I know such a cliché, right? You might have seen over on Instagram that I am an ambassador for MoveGB in Sheffield over the next couple of months and it’s given me a kick to start living healthier. I love food (and wine) so I’m definitely not about to go on a crash diet, in fact I’m really not that bothered about losing weight at all. But, I do want to eat better and exercise more. I find that exercise is really good for my mental health too, so it’s something I want to stick at.

What’s on your bucket list for 2019? I would love to know.

Thank you for reading.
