Regatta Outdoors recently got in touch to see if they could send us over some bits from their spring summer range. I know we all hope that summer will bring glorious weather but it’s not always the case with the British weather is it? We have to be prepared for rain and wind whatever the season. So of course I said yes, I knew some waterproofs would come in very handy for our upcoming adventures.
Having said that, Regatta Outdoors don’t only sell waterproof jackets. There’s so much more available on their website and I was actually quite suprised by the range. They also have swimwear, shorts, rucksacks, camping equiptment and much more!
When our items arrived we headed out for what was supposed to be a lovely spring family walk but in true British style, it rained! It literally went from glorious sunshine to dark grey skies and torrential rain in a matter of minutes. But I guess it meant that we were able to put our new clothes to the test…
I am in love with the kids matching jackets and wellies, how adorable are they? I think little ones always look cute in yellow jackets and when they are matching with their sibling too, well it doesn’t get much cuter does it?
The Betulia jackets are made from waterproof Hydrafort polyester fabric and have taped seams so the kids were kept dry in the unexpected downpour! They are lined with soft taffeta and mesh for added comfort. These are also come in navy, hot pink and pale blue stripe.
Betulia kids jacket – £34.95
These amazing colourful wellies come in two different styles – aqua ombre (Evie’s) and blue ombre (Max’s). As well as the bright design, I liked the easy on-off handles and soft durable rubber that these are made from. And for just £14.95 I think they are a total bargain!
James’ jacket is the Bardolf waterproof jacket in the colour iron (also available in navy, amber and grey). It’s made from waterproof/breathable ISOTEX 5,000 polyester with a Durable Water Repellent finish to keep you dry inside and out. The hood adjusts with a two-way shockcord and the front zip fastening is reinforced with an inner stormflap and protective chin guard.
I have no idea what any of that means but I’m pretty sure no rain will be getting in!
Bardolf jacket – £71.95
James also picked out some boots, these are the Brockhurst casual boots in the colour peat. The Brockhurst boots combine classic desert boot styling with outdoor technologies for a shoe that looks as good as it feels.
Brockhurst boots – £49.95
And finally I am wearing the Gracelynn long length jacket in the colour toffee. As you can see, the hood and the fact that it is waterproof certainly came in handy on our walk! This is also available in navy and yellow to brighten up those grey days.
This jacket is very lightweight, just like everything else mentioned in this post. So great for the warmer months when it’s raining but you don’t want to be too warm.
A huge thank you to Regatta Outdoors for kitting us out on our little adventure! I’m sure these pieces will come in very handy over the coming weeks and months.
