Psst! I’ve found the secret to getting your kids in the bath without a tantrum… bath playdoh!
‘Bath playdoh’ is the name that Max and Evie have given to Fun from Lush. It’s basically a bath product that you can use like modelling clay and mould it into whatever you want. If any of you have children that absolutely HATE bath time, then this will be an absolute life saver for you, it has been for me.
Evie is quite happy to have a bath but Max on the other hand, is terrible and pretty much always has been. Generally I’ll shout the kids to come and get in the bath, it might take Evie a few minutes but she will get in without too much fuss. Max, however usually responds with something along the lines of “NOOOOOOOO, I’M NOT HAVING A BATH!”, to which I reply calmly that he needs to have a bath and that it’ll be over before he knows it. This goes on for a while and usually ends in me getting stressed out and shouting and Max having a meltdown, and of course by the time he does give in the bath is cold.
This time I explained that we had bath playdoh and not just any bath playdoh but RAINBOW bath playdoh. I’ve never seen him run to the bath and take his clothes off quicker. Once they were in the bath both kids loved making shapes (particularly a rainbow), mixing the colours and drawing on the tiles and themselves with it. It really is pretty cool stuff!
And hats off to Lush’s customer service, who actually sent me this for free. We’ve used Fun a few times now and so I emailed Lush to tell them how much it’d helped me with getting Max to take a bath and they very kindly sent me this! So thank you Lush, what a lovely company.
Rainbow Fun costs £7.95 for 350g which may seem a little steep, but it is a huge bar and you only need a really small amount at a time, so it should last ages.
Thanks for reading.
