The Me and Mine Project | August

August

And just like that, summer is over! It’s not quite been the summer we had hoped for but we’ve still managed to make some memories to treasure.

August has been a strange one for us, full of highs and lows. We’ve had some great family days out, plenty of time spent together and we’ve also celebrated my 30th birthday! But it’s also the month that we lost our dog┬áLouis very suddenly. It’s now been a couple of weeks since we lost him, so we are coming to terms with it and we also have a new puppy to look forward to but it has been tough on us all. We decided to get a new puppy as soon as we could because the house just didn’t feel the same without a dog in it (if you’re a dog owner you’ll know exactly what I mean!) and it’s the only thing that’s made us feel any better during the sad times.

So next month is going to be an exciting one for our family, back to school and a new puppy! Life is going to be a lot busier than it is right now and I am going to miss the lazy mornings but I think that we are all longing for a little bit of routine now! I know I am keen to get back to concentrating on my blog, not that I haven’t been blogging over summer but I definitely haven’t been giving it the attention it needs.

This months photos were taken at Yorkshire Lavender. I finally got the gorgeous lavender photos I had been wanting to get for so long and I love them, I think they might just be my favourite family photo yet…

How has August been for you and your family?

Thanks for reading.

I am in LOVE with these gorgeous Lavender shots. I’ve yet to get my brood to a lavender field but next year has to be the year! They are so gorgeous. One for the wall for sure.

These are gorgeous – I love Evie’s dress, and both Max and Evie’s hats! You can’t beat a lavender backdrop, can you? I was so sad to read about your dog – he reminded me so much of my own childhood dog, and she was so much a part of the family. I hope back to school doesn’t come as too much of a shock – I’m sure the new puppy will keep you busy enough you don’t even have time to worry about it!

We still haven’t made it to the Lavender fields and I feel that it isn’t going to happen now! Gorgeous photos and I’m sorry to hear about your dog, they really are one of the family x #meandmine
