The Me and Mine Project | January

Well we’ve done it folks, we made it through January! The first month of the year is done and dusted, and it was a pretty good one for us. We’ve spent plenty of time together, although mainly indoors as none of us are really enjoying the cold weather!

We did brave the chilly weather once though and headed to Scarborough and the Sea Life Centre. Even though it was cold it was lovely to be able to get out in the fresh air and spend some time together as a family.

I am longing for spring though, just to be able to get out and about more often. One thing I’m really missing at the moment is our National Trust days out, they are one of our favourite things to do together. I’m really hoping the weather will be on our side over February half term so that we can get out then.

January has been quite busy for us, but really productive. We’ve finally finished Evie’s bedroom and made a good start on revamping our bedroom, which has helped me to beat those January blues. Hats off to the husband too, he’s done a great job with the decorating. We’ve also booked the kids birthday party for March, so we just need to start planning the details now. We are lucky that both of their birthday’s are in March so we can get away with a joint party (for now anyway!).

This month has also seen us book a couple of holidays for the year, one of which is to Disneyland Paris! The kids don’t know yet, but I am so excited and can’t wait to tell them. We have quite a lot planned for this year already, it’s definitely going to be a good one.

Here are this months photos, taken on our recent trip to Scarborough…

Outtakes…

How has your January been?

Thanks for reading.

Lovely photos Emma. I think everyone is pleased to say goodbye to January. We too have been lots around the house, so at least I feel like we’ve accomplished a lot this month x

I agree whilst I love the beauty of the frost and the fog I am now well and truly ready for spring when it is so much easier to just get up and go x

Oh yes, I definitely agree with the sentiment about congratulations for making it through January! Quite why anyone would try not to drink in this month of all months I’ll never know! 🙂 We have also booked two holidays this month, apparently it’s the peak time of year for doing so. Certainly the thought of summer sunshine is getting me through dark damp days at the moment!

Lovely photos! Well done for braving the outside in January. We are really missing our National Trust days out too – we’ve done one in January which was lovely, but it was blimmin freezing! I’m so ready for spring to burst around the corner!
