A big milestone happened in our house this week, Max lost his first tooth!
I had been wondering when it was going to happen because lots of his friends have already lost one, or even more than one. But Max didn’t even have a single wobbly tooth.
On Tuesday me and James went out for tea and my mum had the kids for us. While we were at the restaurant, my mum rang to say that Max wanted to tell us something. Bless him, his tooth had become wobbly whilst he was eating his tea and he couldn’t wait to tell us about it.
My mum said he’d been a little bit upset when he first realised that it was wobbly, I think he was just concerned that it was going to hurt when it came out. He’s a bit squeamish about blood and pain so he didn’t really like it.
When we got home he was still awake so he showed us his wobbly tooth, which was literally hanging on by a thread. To be honest I think I was more excited about it than he was! It’s such a big milestone though isn’t it? I don’t know how he got old enough to start losing his teeth.
The next morning when he was eating breakfast, it fell out. It didn’t bleed and he was absolutely fine with it and couldn’t wait to get to school to tell his friends and his teacher about it.
The tooth fairy came that night and left him not only a pound coin but some Shopkins as well! I reckon that was just because it was his first tooth though and I don’t think that she will be quite as generous when the next one comes out 😉
