WHAT I BOUGHT IN PRIMARK THIS MONTH | AUGUST

Primark August

Welcome to a brand new blog series – what I bought in Primark this month! Not the most original title is it? But it does exactly what it says on the tin. I had the idea to start this series a couple of weeks ago and posted on Instagram Stories about it. I had an amazing response, so here we are with the very first instalment.

I though this month was a good month to start because the shops are starting to bring out all of their autumn clothing and I don’t know about you, but I am very excited about that! I went into Primark at the weekend and came out with a huge bag full of goodies, for just £73. And that, my friends is why I love Primark so much!

The first thing that I have to mention this month is this amazing leopard print skirt, which I am absolutely in love with. It’s midi length, pleated, elasticated waist, everything I love in a skirt. I spotted this as soon as I walked into the store but the largest size they had was a size 10, and I am usually a 12/14. I decided to try it on anyway in the hope that by some miracle it would fit. And it did! I would say it’s generous sizing so possibly size down if you’re going to buy this.

There’s lots of leopard print in Primark right now, I spotted boots, trainers, dresses, and tops. So if you love leopard print as much as I do, it’s definitely worth a visit.

With autumn right around the corner I wanted to pair the skirt with a jumper so that this outfit will see me through the cooler days that are on the way. I spotted this gorgeous bright orange fine knit jumper and knew that it would work perfectly with the skirt. They had loads of these available in all sorts of colours, I particularly liked the mustard and bright pink too. And, they are only £5 each! I am yet to wash it though so can’t comment on how well they wash yet, fingers crossed it will be OK because it’s such a lovely, soft and comfortable jumper.

I wore the outfit with my Stan Smith trainers here but this skirt will be great with black tights and boots when it gets colder. Plus, it’s one of those pieces that can so easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Skirt – £10, Jumper – £5

Next up are these gorgeous striped trousers. I find it hard to resist a pair of striped trousers at the best of times, but these beauties with their autumnal colours were straight in my basket as soon as I saw them. They have an elasticated waist and are made from a stretchy fabric so they are really comfortable.

I also picked up this cute slogan tee which I think works perfectly with the trousers. Again, colour wise the green is perfect for autumn. There were lots of other slogan t-shirts in store but I had to stop at one as I already have far too many in my wardrobe!

Trousers – £13, Slogan t-shirt – £4

If you know me, you will know that I am a sucker for rainbow colours and stripes, so I couldn’t say no to this jumper. I’ve seen a few people on instagram wearing it recently so had expected it to be sold out. But there was actually plenty of them in my local store, so definitely worth checking your local Primark if you’re after one.

I don’t usually buy jeans from Primark, I find that they just don’t fit me right. I have quite slim legs but wide hips and a big bum so I am very particular about the jeans I will wear. However, I spotted these raw hem, straight leg ones and thought it was as least worth trying them on. I was surprised at how well they fit and for just £13 I would definitely recommend them.

Jumper – £10, Jeans – £13

I noticed a lot of pink accessories in Primark, and I really like that! Lots of pink scarfs in particular and I couldn’t resist picking up this gorgeous pink and red checked one for when the weather turns cooler. Because what better way to brighten up a cold, grey day than with a pink scarf, ey?

I also picked up these beautiful pink loafers, which aren’t my usual style at all but I thought they were cool, so I went for it. They did also have them in a lovely mustard colour. I think I’m going to have to take these back and swap them for a bigger size though as they are quite small fitting.

I have a real obsession with earrings at the moment and have bought lots of pairs from Primark over the past few months. This time I picked up these lovely pink and grey colour block hoops, as well as a gorgeous red tassel pair which are just beautiful.

Scarf – £4, Loafers – £8, Hoops earrings – £2, Tassel earrings – £3

Do let me know what you think to this style of post. I would love some feedback so I know whether to carry on with these or not.

Thank you for reading.
