What I Wore | The Checked Coat Trend

checked coat

I am a little late to the checked coat/blazer trend that seems to be everywhere at the moment. But if I’m honest, I wasn’t sure that it was my thing until I tried this beauty on…

You know me, I don’t wear expensive clothes so you know this is going to be a bargain. I always shop on the high street or in this case supermarket… it’s from George at Asda and was just £25. I also picked up a red coat at the same time which is gorgeous and I will be featuring it in a post very soon.

I really like the cut of this jacket, it’s very smart and a nice statement piece for autumn. The only thing I would change about it is the big poppers that are on display when you wear the jacket open. It would have looked so much better with buttons instead.

It’s not too thick so is perfect for the autumn months. But I reckon I’ll totally be wearing this on milder winter days too, with a nice thick jumper underneath and a bobble hat.

Sadly I can’t find this online to link but I did only buy it on Monday and they had loads in my local store. So I’d say it’s definitely worth popping in to your local Asda for a look if you want to get your hands on one.

I also picked up this gorgeous red jumper from George. I love the bright colour and the volume sleeves. It’s really comfortable and cosy. I can see me getting a lot of wear out of this this autumn and winter. And it was only £16, bargain! I have to say, George have some amazing things in at the moment, definitely worth a look.
