A couple of weekends ago it was the kids joint birthday party and obviously I used that as excuse to buy them new outfits from Boden! It’s always my first port of call for the kids as I really love their bright, fun and colourful clothing and the quality is always amazing.
I did film a children’s clothing haul if you would like to watch that, otherwise photos and outfit details can be found below.
I knew I wanted a shirt for Max as they really seems to suit him and I realised that neither of the ones currently in his wardrobe actually fit him anymore (it’s well overdue a clear out!). So I picked out this cosy checked shirt as I loved the style and colours. It is 100% brushed cotton so is nice and cosy, fingers crossed it will still fit him in autumn/winter. But for now it’s perfect with the sleeves rolled up or on those cooler spring/summer days and evenings.
I think he looks really smart, what do you think?
For Evie I wanted a dress that was nice enough to wear for the party but that would also be suitable for everyday wear after. I can see her wearing this twirly pinafore dress with sandals in summer and I think it will look gorgeous! But for now I paired it with this pretty mustard yellow cardigan just to keep her a little bit warmer, I absolutely love this colour and think that it suits her perfectly.
I put the outfit with her red converse, mainly because I love them and wanted to add a little bit more colour but partly because she hasn’t really got any other shoes! Well, she does have some gorgeous Boden gold glitter shoes that are ideal for parties but she says they hurt her feet and refuses to wear them! I think the converse work really well though and it meant she could match her brother, which is something I secretly love doing.
At the time of buying these items Boden had a sale on and I also had a 20% off code (it’s always worth looking around for a Boden discount code!) so I came away with some really great bargains. Current prices as of 5/4/17 are as follows – Max’s shirt – £28, Evie’s dress – £28, Evie’s t-shirt – £9, Evie’s cardigan – £20.
What do you think to the kids outfits?
