As you all know by now, I love Green People and have tried quite a lot of their products but I had never tried any of their makeup. I was actually quite surprised to see that they do makeup and have quite a wide range too, which includes tinted moisturiser, lip crayons, mascara, blusher, concealer and more.
If you haven’t heard of Green People before, they are sensitive skin experts and have been pioneering organic personal care products since 1997. Green People makes products for the whole family, and takes care to make sure that their products are safe and nurturing for even the most sensitive skin.
I was given the opportunity to try out a couple of Green People makeup products so I picked out a lip crayon and tinted moisturiser. I’m really into lipsticks at the moment so of course I could resist trying one from Green People. And I wanted to try the tinted moisturiser as I wear foundation every day but have been suffering with bad skin recently so I thought I would try something that would be lighter on my skin, and also quick to apply on those busy school mornings.
Do any of us really know what’s lurking in our makeup? Many of the products that we put on our faces every single day contain ingredients such as alcohol, parabens, synthetic fragrances and colourants and more. Thankfully Green People don’t use any of these nasty ingredients in their products, so you can be confident that what you are putting on your face is going to be kind on your skin.
This is the UK’s first certified organic DD cream, combining all the benefits of the BB and CC creams that came before it. With 35 actives in a nutrient rich, youth-boosting formula and beautifully scented with Tiare Tahiti flower extract.
The Tinted DD Moisturiser SPF15 can be used alone or as a perfect base for the rest of your makeup as it minimises the appearance of pores, as well as priming and perfecting the skins surface.
The tinted moisturiser is available in three different shades; ivory, light and medium. I have very fair skin, especially in winter so went for the ivory shade which I have found to be a perfect match for my skin tone.
I have really enjoyed using the tinted moisturiser and found that it gave me just the right amount of coverage for every day use. I have quite oily skin so often struggle to find makeup that works for me but I found that this stayed in place all day. The Age Defy+ Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 is priced at £36 for 30ml.
The Instant Definition Organic Lip Crayons from Green People coat you lips in natural mineral shades that highlight with a burst of colour. Rich, natural colour pigments, Shea Butter and Baobab create a nourishing, creamy finish.
Thanks to the Shea Butter I found the product very easy to apply. They are highly pigmented and you can build the colour if you wish, but I found that one application was enough.
I was very impressed with how long the colour lasted for, even after eating the product stayed put which is great for busy mums like me who might not have the time to keep reapplying lipstick but still want to look like they’ve made an effort.
The lip crayon is available in three different shades; Sangria, Praline and Blossom. I went for the shade Sangria which is this bold, rich browny red colour.
The Instant Definition Lip Crayon is priced at £12.95.
