Towards the end of April I started using the Proactiv+ 3 Step System and I wrote about my skin troubles and first impressions of the products here. It’s now been about seven weeks and I thought I would let you all know how I’m getting on with the products and also share some updated photos so you can see how my skin is looking. I’ll also be writing a final post in about a months time with my overall thoughts on the Proactiv+ 3 Step System and final photos of my skin.
I mentioned in my last post about how I noticed an immediate improvement in the oiliness of my skin when I first started using Proactiv+ and that seems to have continued, which is great. I’ve always felt like the excess oil on my skin was the main reason for my acne so hopefully Proactiv+ targeting that is in turn improving my acne.
About two week into using the products I would say my skin was at it’s best, even my husband pointed out how good it was looking and he never notices things like that! But, over the past few weeks I feel like I’ve taken a bit of a step backwards and have had a few breakouts. When I say breakouts, I’m talking small spots which don’t actually come to a head and clear up pretty quickly, so nothing like the spots I was getting before! I have been reading up on lots of other Proactiv+ reviews and it does seem quite common that your skin can get worse at some point before getting better again, so I’m crossing my fingers that this is a phase and it will clear up again. But overall, my skin is so much better that it was a couple of months ago and I feel so much more confident, and that is 100% down to Proactiv+.
Check out my before pictures here.
Here are some photos of my skin now…
I think the most noticeable difference is that my skin looks far less oily, what do you think?
I also wanted to mention the skin purifying mask which also came with the kit. I don’t think I really mention this in my last post as I was yet to give it a try but I have used it now and I have to say it is really good! It can be used two or three times a week which I admit I haven’t been doing, I’m using it more like once a week so I need to up my game with it. But each time I have used it, it has left my skin feeling soft, looking clearer and most noticeably it makes my skin tone look more even, so those red patches I get across my face pretty much disappear! It’s really good stuff and I would highly recommend giving it a try. I’m going to use it a few times a week for this next month and see if that gets my skin back on track.
What so you think to my results so far? Do you think my skin is looking any better?
Thanks for reading.
*I received these Proactiv+ products to review, however all opinions are my own*
