What I Wore | The Red Stripe Dress

IMG_1162

I had been eyeing this dress up for a while but with a price tag of £50 it was a bit too expensive for me to justify. Then when I saw the gorgeous Fritha from Tigerlilly Quinn wearing it, I wanted it even more!

I then discovered that the petite version of the dress was reduced down to £35 in the sale! Now at 5’8″ I am definitely not petite! But as this dress is a midi length dress I figured I could probably get away with wearing petite and it just being a little bit shorter on me. I’m so glad I went for petite as I really love the length of the dress.

I wore the dress out for a meal at the weekend with my husband for my birthday. I felt really comfortable in it as the shape of it helped to hide my bloated post three course meal tummy!

I think my £3 Primark bargain sandals work really well with the dress. I’m sure heels would look just as lovely but I’m not really once for wearing heels, especially as I’m taller than my husband when I wear them!

At the time of writing this post on Monday evening, the dress is still available from ASOS in a size 12 in the standard sizing here and in a few petite sizes here.
