What I Wore | Six Summer Dresses

summer dresses

So I have this thing with dresses… not so much in winter, I’m more of a skinny jeans and jumper girl when it’s cold. But in spring and summer I’m definitely all about the dresses.

As soon as the spring and summer stock started hitting the shops I just couldn’t resist buying some pretty new dresses! In this post I’m sharing the six that I’ve picked up over the last few weeks…

Superdry stripe maxi dress

If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll already know how much I love stripes, so this dress had my name written all over it. It’s simple, stylish and comfortable and will be perfect in summer.

Floral midi shirt dress

You know those shopping ads that pop up on Facebook? Well, I’m a little bit ashamed to admit that that is where I spotted this dress, and I totally gave in to it. And I’m so glad I did. I’m a total sucker for a shirt dress and especially one with a floral print.

And you’ll never believe it was only £15!!

Dress – Matalan, Sandals – New Look

Floral bloom midi dress

My lovely husband bought this one for me, I’m lucky that he’s pretty good with fashion and knows what suits me (maybe better than I do myself!). I love the beautiful bold floral print on this dress and of course the midi length, it’s a length I feel very comfortable in and always find myself drawn to.

Embroidered smock dress

Excuse my pasty legs in these photos, I would tell you that it’s because they’ve been hidden away all winter but in all honestly they look like this all year round! I just don’t tan, so I embarrass the porcelain complexion!

I love the red embroidery detail on this dress which contrasts beautifully against the black. I love a smock dress and think this will be perfect in summer.

Midi tea dress

I fell in love with this dress when I first saw it but wasn’t convinced that it would suit me. I posted a picture of it on my instagram stories and had lots of people telling me to keep it, so I did!

Sadly it has sold out now, as I expected it might do. But I’ve put the link below anyway, just incase it becomes available again.

Button through sun dress

This is probably my least favourite of the six dresses. I do love it, and really like the colour. But I feel a little bit lumpy and bumpy in it, if you know what I mean! What do you think?

Which is your favourite of the six dresses? I think my favourite has to be the Matalan floral shirt dress, and especially at the bargain price of £15!

Thanks for reading.
