OK so this isn’t proper twinning, but we’re both wearing dresses and they are both multi coloured so I think it still counts! Mummy daughter twinning isn’t something we’ve ever done before, and I’d be lying if I said this was intentional. I spotted this amazing dress and of course, because of the beautiful colours and stripes I just had to have it. I then saw this dress for Evie and loved it, it wasn’t until I saw them side by side that I realised they were a perfect match, you know when it’s a bit matchy but not full on matchy matchy?
My Dress is from ASOS and I think it is such a perfect dress for summer evenings. I don’t usually go for the off the shoulder look as I’m quite self conscious about the fact that I have wide shoulders and I feel like off the shoulder tops make them look even wider! But actually I don’t think that this looks too bad, maybe it’s the bright colours and stripes that detract from my shoulders a little, either way I like it!
And as usual it’s midi length, which if you’ve followed me for a while you will know that I love midi length dresses and skirts! I just find them really comfortable and flattering on my shape.
Please excuse the nipples, it was a little bit cold!
Evie’s dress is from Next and it would be pretty perfect if it wasn’t for the fact that it creases really easily! We had ironed this before we left the house and she had been in the car for about 10 minutes, and this is the result…
What do you think to our new dresses? Would you ever twin with your children?
