BAKED: Amazing Bakes to Create With Your Child

IMG_0626

Me and the kids love baking, in fact it’s one of our favourite things to do together. However, I do sometimes struggle for recipe ideas, as it need to be something that is simple enough for the kids to get involved with but also fun and interesting for them.

I often end up buying the cheap supermarket children’s baking kits but to be honest the kids are getting bored of them now because the recipes are always pretty much the same.

So when I found out that Adelle from BKD was releasing a children’s baking book I knew straight away I needed to get my hands on one!

We love BKD, their recipes always look so creative and fun yet easy enough for kids to get involved with, and not to mention delicious! We reviewed one of the BKD Mini Bakers Club box a couple of months ago and we loved it!

The BAKED book includes over 20 fun and easy to follow recipes so it really is the perfect family baking book. Each recipe has a difficulty rating so you can choose a recipe that may be better suited to your child’s age and ability.

I love that the book not only includes recipes but also a tips, tricks and techniques section, from how to line a cake tin to filling and using a piping bag. I like to think that I sort of know what I’m doing when it comes to baking but I’ve learnt a lot from this book already.

The first recipes on the kids list are the pirate sugar cookies and the ice cream sundae cake pops…

Top of my list are the rainbow unicorn cupcakes…

And can we all just take a moment to appreciate this fabulous rainbow funfetti pinata cake…

I think you’ll all agree that the recipes in this book look absolutely AMAZING! Me and the kids can’t wait to get started and we’ll be sharing our first creation with you all.

The BAKED book is available now from all good retailers, RRP £14.99. For more information and to purchase the book please click here.

What do you think to the BAKED book? Is it something that you would use with your children?

Thanks for reading.

This book looks amazing! From the outset it looks like a lovely coffee table book, with the images really bold and beautiful. And the recipes look accessible and so delicious. This is one book I’m going to add to my birthday list.
