Clean Eating Made Simple with Everdine

Everdine

Over the past couple of weeks we have been trying out Everdine, which is a clean eating meal delivery subscription. It’s similar to the likes of Hello Fresh and Gousto, but the difference with Everdine is that the meals come frozen. Our busy lives mean that we don’t always have the time to prepare a meal from scratch, but that doesn’t mean that you need to opt for an unhealthy takeaway instead. Everdine cuts out the hassle and preparation associated with healthy eating and makes it super easy.

Everdine meals are prepared by their own chefs, Matt and Viresh, using the very best ingredients and sustainably sourced meat and fish. They also allow you to choose your meals from a list of fantastic options, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

Everdine offer a few different plan options, we went for the eight classic meals but vegetarian options are also available. Our meals arrived boxed up and ready to pop straight into the freezer…

Each meal is individually packed and you’ll find all the cooking instructions and nutritional information clearly printed on the packaging.

Here are our prepared meals…

Mushroom spaghetti carbonara

Piri piri chicken

Paneer and sweet potato kofte biryani

Lamb kofta with roast onion bulgur wheat

Jerk chicken with pineapple salsa

Chilli con carne with brown rice

Stuffed portobello mushrooms with goats cheese

Slow cooked beef and beetroot bourguignon

We found all of the meals to be really tasty and full of flavour, I really can’t fault any of them. My favourite was the stuffed portobello mushrooms with goats cheese, which was really delicious.

We really enjoyed trying out Everdine, I think it’s perfect for when you haven’t got the time or energy to cook but still want something healthy. For me, these meals have been great for lunchtimes as when I’m working at home I am guilty of sometimes skipping lunch because I don’t have time, and then later getting hungry and eating something unhealthy. Everdine has stopped this completely, I’ve been able to to grab a meal from the freezer, put it in the microwave and it’s ready within about 10 minutes, simple! The meals have also been great for my husband to take to work with him as it means he is getting a decent healthy meal which can be prepared quickly enough during his break.

Eight classic or veggie meals are priced at £55.20 or 12 meals £76.80.
