We all know how important it is to get a good nights sleep and even more so as parents. Being a mum means that my sleep is often disturbed by my children waking during the night or getting up far too early. And while there isn’t much that I can do to stop the kids from disrupting my sleep, what I can do is make sure that the sleep that I do get is restful.
If I’ve had a good night sleep I find I am much happier which means that I am more patient with my children and less likely to snap at them, which of course is better for everyone. Sleep really is so important and allows us to be the best parents that we can possibly be.
A key aspect of getting a great night’s sleep is choosing the right mattress. If your mattress isn’t right for you you may find yourself tossing and turning all night long and you might even experience back pain or neck pain. This is where the Leesa mattress comes in.
The Leesa mattress
We’ve been trying out a Leesa mattress over the past couple of weeks and I have to say I’ve been really impressed with it. So what makes the Leesa mattress so special? Leesa provide luxury mattresses but without the luxury price tag. The three unique foam layers work together to provide the correct support and comfort, as well an airflow system that prevents overheating at night.

The ordering process
I found the ordering process extremely quick and easy. Leesa only make one mattress, so there is no umming and ahhing about which one to choose. You literally just pick your size, add it to basket and enter your payment details, simple! Our mattress arrived in 5 days which I think is great considering that the mattresses are made to order.
When our mattress arrived it was rolled up in a small box, my first thought was that there was no way a king size mattress could be inside that box! But sure enough, it was. It really was quite fascinating seeing the mattress come to life and it was ready to sleep on in just a few hours.
Any mattresses that are returned to Leesa within 100 nights will be donated to a charitable organisation and they will provide you with a full refund. If a charity cannot be found the the mattress will be recycled.
Leesa’s One–Ten programme donates one mattress for every ten sold. A recent event at Mustard Tree saw them donate 62 mattresses to their charitable cause. Leesa have also just announced that they will donate a minimum of 300 mattresses over the coming year to support homeless shelters in the city of London.
When we were first offered a Leesa mattress to review I wasn’t sure that we actually needed a new mattress as our old one was only a couple of years old and we hadn’t had any problems with it. But after seeing the amazing reviews that the Leesa mattress gets I knew it was worth trying out and honestly I could not be any happier with it.
On first impressions I noticed that the Leesa was not as firm as our old mattress and I wasn’t sure how well I would sleep on it as I thought I preferred a firmer mattress. After just one night on the new mattress and I was completely converted, I slept soundly, better than I had slept in a long time, the mattress is unbelievably comfortable!
With our old mattress I found I was waking up regularly during the night as I was too hot. I hadn’t put this down to the mattress though as I just thought it was the temperature in our bedroom. The Leesa mattress has a top layer which allows air-flow for a cooler nights sleep and it has definitely helped me to stay cool at night and I’m finding I am waking far less often.
