I’ve been curious about cruises for a while but had always though that they were something that only couples and the older generation did, not families. But I have been looking into it a bit more recently and browsing the Planet Cruise website and have found that cruises can actually be great for families too.
And here is why…
Cruise ships offer something for everyone in terms of entertainment. There’s swimming pools, various bars and lounges, restaurants, shops, cinema, spa, the list is endless! So there really is no reason to ever be bored whilst onboard a cruise ship, making a family cruise a great option for us.
See more of the world
I adore travelling and there is so much of the world that I want to see, so the most obvious advantage to cruising for me is that me and my family get to see lots of destinations, all in just one holiday.
There is plenty to keep the kids entertained during a family cruise, from swimming to watching a movie, and most ships have kids clubs onboard too. This means that the kids can have fun whilst the adults get to relax and enjoy some quiet time.
There are lots of food options available on cruise ships which is great for children who are fussy eaters. Cruise ships usually have various restaurants to choose from, so I’m sure that even I could find something to please my fussy eaters!
Only unpack once
Nobody likes packing and unpacking again so what I love about cruises is that you get to see lots of different places, but yet only have to unpack once!
Have you ever been on a family cruise? Or considered one? I’d love to know your thoughts!
