Earlier this week we headed over to Chester Zoo to experience their brand new PLAY! zones.
Me and James hadn’t been to Chester Zoo for almost 10 years and the kids have never been, so we were super excited to visit! We do have Yorkshire Wildlife Park close by which is great but it isn’t as big as Chester and they don’t have elephants, which is definitely the best part for me!
PLAY! zones are brand new at Chester Zoo this year, where little ones can have ever more fun hippity-hopping, skipping, splashing, balancing, climbing, laughing and having heaps of fun across the zoo! With fun events, crafts, play parties, story time, animal challenges and much more. To find out more about PLAY! at Chester Zoo, to check out what’s happening and to book tickets you can visit the PLAY! website here.
And opening in May is a brand new play space. Home to a 9m high Baobab tree, picnic nests, play areas and The Lost Forests… The heart of PLAY!
Max and Evie really enjoyed the skipping lanes and looking out for the footprints on the floor, figuring out what animal they belonged too and following them along.
Here are some snaps from our day…
We had an amazing day at Chester Zoo. There is so much to see and do that I’m sure we missed some of it, but that just means we have the perfect excuse to go back again soon!
My favourites part was definitely the elephants but we all really enjoyed watching the baby giraffe too, who is incredibly cute! There is also a newborn Bornean orangutang, the first to be born at Chester Zoo in almost a decade so be sure to check him out if you’re visiting the zoo soon.
Have you ever been to Chester Zoo?
Thanks for reading.
*We were kindly gifted tickets to experience PLAY! at Chester Zoo, however all opinions are my own*
