Are you hoping to give your husband an awesome holiday gift? Or, a gift for something else you’re celebrating? But, you’re not sure what to get them?
Shopping for your hubby can be hard. The “go-to” gift for a male partner is almost always a tie. But, let’s face it, ties are pretty boring. Unless your husband is some sort of tie aficionado, they’re not a super meaningful gift either.
So, what gift do you give your husband to express your gratitude and love for everything he does?
Read on to learn the 6 best gifts to give your husband.
1. A Watch
A watch is absolutely one of the best gifts you can get your husband, no matter the occasion and no matter his preferences.
What’s so great about a watch?
For one, watches scream class and elegance. And, the right watch can be worn for nearly any type of occasion. Your husband can wear his watch at work, at an elegant party, or, just while he’s relaxing. Plus, every time he looks at it, he’ll think of you.

2. Limited Edition Alcohol
Does your husband like a nice glass of scotch from time to time? Or, maybe he’s a gin man who loves sipping on a gin and tonic?
Whatever it is, if your husband enjoys alcohol, he’ll for sure enjoy a limited edition bottle of his favorite type. This not only shows that you pay attention to what his favorite drink is, but that you also took the extra care to purchase a special version of it.
If you’re shopping for his gift around the holidays, limited edition alcohols will be super easy to find. At other times of the year, you may have to do a little more searching.
And, if you feel like a bottle of alcohol isn’t enough, you could also add in another small gift to go along with it. For example, if you buy your husband a nice whiskey, you could add in a set of whiskey tumblers. Or, maybe you could add in a whiskey cocktail recipe book.
3. A surprise holiday
Ok, this one may be a little harder to pull off, depending on your circumstances. But, if you can pull it off, a surprise vacation is an awesome gift to give your man.
First of all, unless you’ve planned a surprise vacation before, he definitely won’t be expecting it. This is also the perfect gift to give a guy who doesn’t like a lot of “stuff”.
Also, the vacation doesn’t have to be a huge 2-week trip to Europe or anything super extravagant. Even just a weekend away at a cute town nearby would make a great present.
If you want to still be able to give him a physical gift, and not just tell him, you could print out the plane tickets or your accommodation receipt and wrap that.
4. A fun card/board game
Is your husband the type of guy who loves spending a Friday night in playing a board or card game?
If so, you have another great idea for a gift. There are so many fun, hilarious board games that come out each year, that you’re sure to find one he hasn’t played yet.
This is also another gift that you can easily “upgrade”. For example, if you decide to buy him a backgammon set, you could get one that’s made out of wood, and then have something engraved on it.
5. Travel accessories
Is your husband always traveling for work?
If so, you may want to buy him some sort of travel accessory to make his long layovers and flights a little easier. It’s estimated that around 37 percent of people have canceled or delayed a flight due to stress. Clearly, traveling isn’t always a picnic.
You could get your husband one really nice, large gift, or you may want to put together a small “travel survival kit”. For a larger gift, you could get him a new carry-on suitcase, a luggage set, a nice pair of noise-canceling headphones, or, an iPad.
Some great smaller items that you can bundle together include:
- A passport holder (maybe one made of leather or some other nice material)
- A pack of sudokus or crossword puzzles
- A neck pillow
- An eye mask
- A pair of comfy sweatpants
As we said, traveling for work can be extremely stressful. Likely, your husband has complained a time or two about all of his travels. Getting a gift that’s travel-related will show your husband that you’ve been paying attention and that you really care about his well-being.
6. An “experience” gift
Experience gifts are the new big thing.
Basically, instead of giving someone a material item, you give them an experience, like tickets to go skydiving. This is another great gift to give a husband who doesn’t like to have a lot of material things.
And, if your husband is an adventure junkie, this is about the best gift you can give him. Other than skydiving, you can gift him a certificate for a rock climbing lesson, a snorkeling tour package, or a package for a wine tour.
Or, maybe your husband has been itching to learn a new skill or take up a new hobby? In that case, you could buy him a class package to get going. For example, you could buy him a package for a pasta making class, guitar lessons, a painting class, or language lessons.
If you and your husband are parents, there’s a good chance that, like a lot of parents, you no longer put time aside to pursue your own passions and hobbies. Giving an experience gift is a great way to encourage your husband to make more time for himself.
Now that you have some awesome gift ideas for your husband, it’s time to go shopping! Which one are you going to buy?
