Here’s a look at what our family got up to last week.
Our new rainbow umbrella arrived last week and we got to try it out on the school run today as the weather was miserable. It certainly brightened up a dreary Monday morning!
After we’d taken Max to school we went shopping for some holiday clothes. We spent a small fortune in Primark but I think we’ve pretty much got everything we need now. I also picked myself up some new shoes, I love them!
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were a bit like groundhog day this week. Dropping the kids at school and preschool in the morning, going to the gym, picking Evie up from preschool, then blogging or housework in the afternoon.
I did get to wear my new shoes today though!
Same as yesterday, school runs, gym and housework, YAWN!
However, it did snow today! How crazy is the weather at the moment? Snow at the end of April, seriously? On the bright side, it meant we could use our new rainbow umbrella again though!
Groundhog day number three! Evie did make a jam tart at preschool today though, she was extremely pleased with herself.
Friday was Evie’s full day at preschool and with Max at school too I was determined to make the most of my day.
My day started brilliantly when I found out I’d been shortlisted in the Britmums BiB awards! If you would like to vote for me, all the details will be right at the bottom of this post.
I blitzed the housework in the morning, went out to run some errands and then did some blogging in the afternoon. A pretty successful day all in all.
I went to the gym in the morning and then took Max to a school friends birthday party in the afternoon.
After the party we had to pop to Aldi and it was a total nightmare. Max’s behaviour was horrendous, there were people starring and muttering under their breath, I just wanted the ground to swallow me up!
A glass of wine or two were very much needed after that experience!
We had planned to get out somewhere as a family today but after yesterdays Aldi drama I very nearly cancelled our plans. But we decided to head out anyway and went over to The Longshaw Estate, I’ll be putting up a separate post soon with all the photos that I took. We had a lovely time, even if we did get a little bit lost at one point!
I hope you all had a great week.
Thanks for reading.
