teacher gift ideas

This school year is racing by and before we know it, it will be the summer holidays! The end of the school year means that we all start racking our brains for teacher gift ideas. Personally, I feel like we make this even harder for ourselves by trying to think of something that nobody else will have bought. I think we should keep it simple with a small gift that shows our appreciation.

Here are 10 simple, yet special teacher gift ideas…

1. A hamper

Creating your own hamper gives you the freedom to add whatever you like and of course means your gift will be totally unique. It could be a food hamper, or maybe a pamper hamper full of bath products, smellies, face masks etc. Creating your own hamper means you can make it as cheap or as expensive as you like.

2. Chocolate

Chocolate might not be the most unique gift but it’s always a winner. You could go for a simple box of chocolates or something personalised.

3. Flowers or a plant

There’s nothing quite like a beautiful bunch of flowers to put a smile on someones face. Flowers or a plant are a cheap and easy gift idea, yet are guaranteed to be appreciated by the recipient.

4. Mugs

Mugs are a great, practical gift idea for teachers. There’s no doubt that it will be well loved! Personalised china mugs from Countryside Art are really beautiful and with so many to choose from, there’s sure to be one that your child’s teacher will love.

5. Candles

Why not treat your child’s teacher to a lovely scented candle? However, I would only recommend buying a candle if you are sure that the teacher likes them. Otherwise you could end up buying a candle with a scent that they don’t like and won’t use.

6. Personalised keepsakes

If you want to buy your little ones teacher something really special, why not go for something personalised? Maybe a personalised coaster for their mug, a keyring, bag or even a personalised set of pencils. The personalisation makes the gift that little bit more special.

7. A diary or notebook

A diary or notebook with a pen is a gift that will come in very handy for a teacher. If you’re ever unsure what to buy for a teacher, practical gifts are always a winner.

8. A nice bottle of wine

It’s the end of the school year and teachers will be ready for a celebratory drink, I know I would be! It doesn’t have to be a really fancy and expensive bottle, just a nice one and preferably one that you know the teacher likes to drink.

9. A gift card

If you are completely stuck for ideas, why not treat teacher to a gift card? If you know enough about your teacher you should be able to pick a gift card for a store that you know they will like.

10. Something a little bit different

I saw a really cute idea on Pinterest that I thought I would share. Get each child in the class to write a little note to the teacher. Roll all the notes up and pop them into a jar and you’ve got yourself a really lovely and unique teacher gift.

And to make their gift extra special why not add some personalised ribbon? Berisford Ribbon have a great selection of ribbons that can be personalised with teachers name, making a really special keepsake.
