Before I had the children you would have always found me in dresses and tights in autumn. But for the past few years you’d mostly find me in jeans and baggy jumpers. I guess being a busy mums means that you can sometimes get stuck in a rut of throwing on the nearest outfit without much thought. I feel like dresses for everyday casual wear had become a little out of my comfort zone, but as soon as I put this outfit on it definitely felt like me…
My dress is from Warehouse and I love that the floral pattern is made up of such gorgeous autumnal colours. I really like the flute sleeves too which make the dress feel even more floaty and pretty.
The dress also has a little cut out detail on the back which I think is really cute. This is definitely the sort of dress that can easily be dressed up for a night out with some heels or worn casually.
My faux leather jacket is by River Island, but purchased from Very. I had a H&M faux leather jacket last year but I have gained a little bit of weight since then and it now it’s too tight around my arms. So I needed a new one and this one fits perfectly. I think that leather jackets are such a staple piece for autumn as they go with absolutely everything and keep you surprisingly cosy in the cold weather.
When it comes to boots I always struggle to find the perfect pair. I recently ordered three pairs from ASOS to try on and ended up keeping these ones. I like the classic chelsea boots style but really like that they are oxblood rather than the usual black or brown. I think that they will work with most outfits over the coming months.
