What I Wore | The Yellow Dress

yellow dress

Yellow isn’t a colour that I have much of in my wardrobe, as much as I love it I’ve always avoided bright colours because I worry that they will draw attention to me. Yellow seems to be everywhere this season, and I can totally see why. It’s such a happy colour, it just screams summer, sunshine and so I gave in and bought not one, but two yellow dresses!

The plan is to return one of these dresses, because as much as I love them both, I just don’t think I can justify having two bright yellow dresses in my wardrobe! Let me know in the comments which one is your favourite.

Firstly can we all just ignore my sunburn, I am fully aware that my arms look like drumstick lollies and have done for the past couple of weeks, I think I may be stuck with it forever now.

Secondly, I’m not 100% convinced about this dress, the main reason being that I don’t like my arms as I have gained a bit of weight recently and I feel like it really shows on my upper arms. Aside from that, I absolutely love this dress, the midi length, the colour, the lace details. It’s just stunning!

Long sleeve midi dress

If you’re on Instagram then I’m sure you will have already seen this little beauty around, so many people seem to have it! Believe it or not it’s actually from M&S, who are killing it at the moment, I pretty much want one of everything!

I feel very comfortable in this dress (probably because it covers up my arms and sunburn, haha!) and I think that these photos show that. What do you think?

Which dress do you think I should keep? I think I’m leaning towards the M&S one at the moment.

Thank you for reading.
