Ready for Autumn with Lighthouse

A decent waterproof coat is an essential for me for the autumn and winter months, especially for those cold and rainy school runs! My new reva waterproof parka coat from Lighthouse is perfect and is going to keep me warm and dry as the weather gets colder.

Lighthouse is a small clothing company based on the edges of Belfast. Their love of the outdoors combined with the frequent dissatisfying weather is the main driving force behind Lighthouse clothing.

“We wanted to create lovingly crafted clothing that is stylish, protective and durable so that you can be completely comfortable in your surroundings no matter what the weather. Passion for our surroundings and the drive to get out and enjoy them with the people that matter most thus formed the basis of the Lighthouse vision, forming our simple philosophy – to encourage the wanderer, the sea lover and the great adventurer in us all through quality, inspiring clothing.”

The coat is both waterproof and windproof with fully taped seams to ensure that no rain can get in! It’s shearling fleece and quilted lining will keep me super cosy and warm.

Not only is this coat functional and practical but it also looks great. I’m absolutely in love the plum colour, and you all know how much I like a pop of colour! It’s really striking and makes a welcome change from the usual black, navy or khaki coats that I would usually wear in autumn and winter.

There is no denying the quality of this coat, from the the tortoiseshell buttons and antique brass hardware to the nautical style drawcords, it has clearly been made with special attention to detail.

I went for a size 12, which is my usual size and it fits perfectly so I would say that it comes up true to size.

Other features include;

  • 100% cotton outer fabric with Teflon coating
  • Adjustable, integral hood
  • 2-way front zip
  • 2 front pockets
  • Internal pocket
  • Concealed adjustable waist drawcord
  • Snap fastened rear vent
  • 3/4 length coat
  • Machine washable

I cannot fault this coat, it is amazing quality and super practical. I can see it lasting me for many years to come.

The Reva coat is priced at £92.50. Make sure you pop over to the Lighthouse website and have a look at their A/W range, they have some really lovely items, I already have my eye on a couple more 😉

What do you think to my new coat?

Thanks for reading.

I love it! I need to get a new winter coat and I want a waterproof one because I’m always out and about. I have a NorthFace jacket for the spring / autumn but their winter equivalents are so expensive. This looks ideal and I love anything remotely purple. I’ll definitely look into this! #fortheloveofBLOG

This is a gorgeous coat perfect to jazz up those cold and dark days, and to lift our mood too. I really like the fleece lining inside, it looks really snug! Thanks so much for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x
