My Winter Coat Collection

coat collection

I’ve seen a few of these posts recently and I love reading them. Especially as I have a bit of an addiction to winter coats. Because if there’s one thing I absolutely cannot stand it’s being cold, so the more coats the better as far as I’m concerned!

Here is my current winter coat collection…

The pink one

This one was a Primark purchase from last year. I wasn’t too sure about it at first with it being pink and fluffy and very much in your face. But I am so glad that I bought it now, as it is one of the cosiest coats I own and a great way to jazz up a plain outfit.

The red one

This red coat is a recently buy from George at Asda (I blogged about it here) and was only £30! Red is everywhere this season and I am a massive fan of it, so I just couldn’t resist this little beauty.

What I really love about it is that it’s oversized, meaning you can comfortably fit your big chunky knits underneath.

The checked one

I guess this one isn’t a proper winter coat as it’s not really thick enough. But I think it will be perfect for milder winter days or layered up with a cosy jumper and scarf.

Checked jackets and coats seem to be another big trend this season and one that I actually wasn’t sure about at first. But I fell in love with this one as soon as I tried it on…

The teddy bear one

Because everyone needs a coat that makes them look and feel like a giant teddy bear, right? This is honestly the cosiest coat ever and the neutral brown colour means that it goes with pretty much any outfit.

I have actually had this for a couple of years now but Topshop have some similar ones in at the moment. I particularly love this one.

The leopard print one

No coat collection is complete without a bit of leopard print, am I right? I bought this one last year from Next and I really like the bomber style of it. It’s very different to any other coats I own.

I have seen an absolutely amazing faux fur leopard coat on ASOS thought, so I might end up upgrading this one soon.

The fur collared one

Who doesn’t love a bit of faux fur? This is probably the smartest coat that I own and isn’t my usual style but it’s great for when I want to look a bit smarter and more put together.

The faux fur collar is actually detachable so I do sometimes wear it with a scarf instead of the fur collar.

The practical one

You might have noticed that so far I haven’t showed you a single coat with a hood! Whoops. I am so bad at thinking about how practical a coat is when I’m shopping. If I like it, that’s all that matters to me at the time. But of course I do have to do many cold and rainy school runs (funnily enough I’m about to leave to do a very rainy one in a minute!) so a decent waterproof coat is a must for me.

This one I was kindly gifted by Lighthouse who make fantastic waterproof coats. I like that despite being a practical coat, it still looks great and I am obsessed with the bright yellow colour.

The leather jacket

I know, I know, this isn’t actually a coat at all. But I couldn’t not include it as it’s my favourite recent purchase. I love the style, the fit, the details, pretty much everything about it.

I am always surprised at just how warm and cosy leather jackets keep you. Especially with a jumper underneath and a nice chunky scarf too. I will definitely be wearing this during winter whenever I can get away with it.

Now please tell me that your coat collection is just as big as mine is…

Thanks for reading.
