I’m probably late to the party with this one (as usual), but I am loving the flared sleeve trend. They seem to be everywhere at the moment and at first I wasn’t sure but this dress has completely convinced me.
The flared sleeves and frill detail to the bottom give it a lovely feminine feel. But you know what I’m like for not wanting to feel too girly, so of course I had to dress it down with my converse and my new bobble hat.
What I love about the sleeves on this dress is that they are three quarter length, as nice as full length flared sleeves are in reality I can just imagine them getting in the way all the time. These sleeves aren’t as big and dramatic as some I’ve seen so are much more practical. I had been looking at getting this M&S jumper that I’ve been seeing a lot on instagram but again, didn’t think it was practical.
I am also a bit fan of gingham and checks so I was drawn to this dress straight away. I can imagine this looking great in summer with sandals, there’s something quite summery about gingham I think.
What I also like about this dress is that it is lose so it covers up the fact that I’ve gained a bit of weight recently! Although there’s no hiding that mum mum! Despite the weight gain I always find that I am drawn to oversized and lose clothing, i just feel really comfortable in it and I am all about comfort when it comes to fashion. If I don’t feel comfortable in it, no matter how good it looks, I just won’t wear it.
What do you think? Do you love or hate the flared sleeve trend?
