YVETTE ACTIVEWEAR | REVIEW

If you’ve followed me for a while you will know that I LOVE activewear, I pretty much live in sports bras, leggings and cycling shorts now that the weather has improved. I’m all about comfort, even if I’m not working out! I recently discovered Yvette who specialise in high impact sports bras and other activewear such as tshirts, hoodies and leggings. I picked out a few items from their website to test out, read on to see what I thought…

Yvette

As I mentioned briefly above, Yvette is a women’s activewear brand. Their focus is on the three c’s – comfort, confidence and characteristic. They believe that every woman should feel confident in her own skin, and they can achieve this by first being comfortable in their clothing.

“Yvette aspires to be a friend of every woman, offering help and support for the diverse roles of modern women in life. Yvette will support you during your workout. Yvette will support you in daily life. We believe that the most beautiful you comes from your confidence in yourself. We support all your dreams, no matter how big or small.”

Sports bras

Yvette understand how important it is for your bra to fit perfectly, that’s why their sports bras are available in 12 different sizes to accommodate everyone.

I went for the Power cross back padded running bra. I love the cross back detail and how supportive this bra is. It is available in a whopping 15 colours so you can mix and match with your bottoms. Activewear certainly doesn’t have to be boring!

I also went for the Power classic zip front running bra, in white. This is also available in six other colours. I really liked the zip detail on this bra, which is convenient when you’re putting it on and it doesn’t come down while you’re wearing it. It’s made from sweat wicking fabric and has four way stretch so it’s ideal for high intensity workouts.

Leggings

You would think that finding leggings that fit would be pretty easy, well let me tell you, it’s not! I’ve had leggings that are too loose on the calf and ankles, fit perfectly on my bum but are then too loose on my waist, as well as ones that ride down while you’re wearing them so you keep having to pull them back up every few minutes! I haven’t had any of these problems with my new Yvette Enfold high-waisted running leggings, they fit like a glove!

I went for the colour blue hemp grey which is absolutely beautiful and different to anything else I have in my wardrobe at the moment. They are also available in black, green and light blue. They are honestly the nicest buttery soft fabric, probably the best leggings I own!

Cycling shorts

The last item I picked out is the Echo cropped running shorts in purple. Just as with the leggings, these fit me great and are really nice, high quality fabric. They are very easy to dress more casually for everyday wear as I did in the below images.

Sizing

Clothing is available from size XS up to 5XL. It’s great that Yvette accommodate people of all different sizes. I’m usually a UK size 14 and found that a size L was good for me. However, it is advised that you use their size guide to ensure you get the correct size for yourself.

The same goes for sports bras, make sure that you measure yourself properly and follow the size guide rather than just going straight for your usual size. I found that the bras run a little small so accurate measuring is important.
