If, like me you are a big g&t fan, then you’ll love these grown up ice lollies! They are so simple to make and really refreshing on a hot Summers day.
Whilst making ice lollies for the kids a few days ago, we decided we’d have a go at making these too. I’d seen them on Pinterest a while ago but had never got round to making them.
I’m a bit sad that mine don’t look quite as perfect and pinteresty as I’d have liked, we’ll call them rustic, OK? But anyway, they are still delicious.
Having looked at instructions on Pinterest since making these I’ve realised where I went a little bit wrong, I should have allowed the tonic to go flat before freezing, woops! But at least I know now for next time…
So here is the correct way to make gin & tonic ice lollies…
- Pour your tonic and allow it to go flat, or alternatively you can use water
- Once the tonic is flat, make up your g&t as you usually would
- Slice some lemon or lime and pop a piece in each of your ice lolly moulds
- Pour the g&t into the moulds and pop the stick in
- Freeze overnight as alcohol takes longer to freeze
Simple!

That looks delicious! I’ll definitely have to give those a go at some point. People will surely appreciate them. Then after that I think I’ll try and subsists the gin for vodka and see if that works at all? I love a good vodka tonic!! #KCACOLS
Ooh yes I’m sure vodka would work just as well 🙂
The simple ideas are really the best tho aren’t they ?! Great tip to let the tonic go flat tho, would never have thought of that #kcacols

These look really refreshing for a hot day and cunning way of having a little tipple without the kids knowing 😉 I’m not a massive G&T fan but reckon they are probably nice as ice lollies. Wonder what other drinks you can do this with!

Someone suggested pimms! I’m so going to give that a go x

I like the rustic look. They sound delicious and refreshing, especially with the lemon slice. I read an article recently that says lemons, when frozen and eaten are extremely good for you, skin and everything! I might just try this with mohitos and frozen lemons.
Enjoy yours, I expect you will be making them again. 😉
Amanda. #kcacols
Oh really? That’s interesting! I’ll have to have more gin and tonic ice lollies then hehe x
Loving that! Great idea for the summer #KCACOLS

I love the idea of making adult lollies. I recently found a recipe that was iced coffee and liquor that I thought sounded nice. While I’m not a big G&T person I can imagine it would be refreshing! #KCACOLS
Must admit that I don’t like gin (or drink alcohol at all), but this sounds like a great idea – bet people would love them at summer BBQs!
Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next Sunday
