Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream with Savisto

I’d been thinking about getting an ice cream maker for a while now as we’re all big ice cream fans in our house, and especially during the summer months. I thought it’d be nice for the kids to have a go at making proper homemade ice cream and something they’d really enjoy doing.

So when Savisto asked if I’d like to review a product from their range, I knew straight away it had to be the ice cream maker!

The Savisto ice cream maker is super easy to use and has a 1.5 litre capacity so it makes the perfect amount of ice cream for the four of us. It has a digital display, a low level noise motor and even a funnel to allow you to add extra ingredients whilst the machine is in motion.

It also came with a recipe book and there are sooo many yummy looking ice creams to make, 130 to be exact! In the end we decided on strawberry cheesecake. Next on my list is nutella *drools* and then salted caramel, and then pistachio… I could go on …

  • 175g strawberries
  • 225g mascapone cheese
  • 125g golden caster sugar
  • 225ml single cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  •  1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Start by pureeing your strawberries.
  • Combine all your ingredients together in a bowl.
  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and start churning. This will take between 20 – 40 minutes or until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Transfer to a freezer proof container and freeze.

The ice cream went down a storm with all of us, it’s is seriously delicious! We can’t wait to make another batch and can’t quite believe how easy it was to do! I would definitely recommend the Savisto ice cream maker, it’s a great way to keep the kids busy whilst making a delicious summer treat at the same time.
