We decorated our dining room last year, it was just a lick of white paint and a few new accessories but it made a huge difference to the room. It felt lighter and brighter and we were really pleased with it. I mentioned in the original post that I was thinking about getting a new table and chairs and I’m pleased to say that we’ve finally got round to it!
Our kitchen/dining room area is where you come in when you first enter our house, so it often gets messy with coats, shoes and bags. It’s a bit of a dumping ground to be honest, but we’ve decluttered a lot over the past few weeks and I’m determined to keep this room tidy from now on.
The addition of this sideboard means that we now have plenty of storage space so really there is no excuse to dump things on the dining table anymore!

We had a big wooden six seater dining table in this room before which took up so much space. Living in a small house where space is very limited, it just didn’t make sense so we decided to downsize. This smaller table has made a huge difference to the room, and I’m so glad we went for it.

We also went for bright coloured chairs, which were from eBay and I love how they look. I wasn’t sure about going for four different colours but I think it actually works really well.
We’ve also added a couple of colourful prints which I think has worked really well as the room was definitely lacking colour before. Here’s a few more pictures of the room along with links to everything that is available to buy online…
