Max’s bedroom is finally finished! And I am so pleased with how it’s turned out. It’s been a slow process as his room had become a bit of a disaster of toys and nowhere near enough storage space for them. We started by having a huge clear out of toys, they just seem to accumulate so many don’t they? We are really lucky that there is a closet in his bedroom that is ideal for toy storage, but first we had to clear out all of the ‘stuff’ that was in there – my wedding dress, Christmas decorations, a baby bath, baby bouncers etc. Things that we just don’t need anymore.
After a big clear out, we freshened up the walls with a coat of white paint and then came the fun part – adding lots of new accessories! There is no real theme to this room, unlike Evie’s bedroom which has a rainbow theme to it. Max’s room is a mix of colours and patterns, it’s fun and bright and exactly how a child’s bedroom should be.
Max’s only requests were for a desk and a teepee. At first I wasn’t sure whether we would be able to fit both in but thanks to the new toy closet, we had plenty of space for both.
I filmed a little tour of his room, which gives you a better feel for the space and also a look at his toy storage. You can watch the video here…
