My Dream Bathroom

bathtub-890227_960_720

I’ve been pinning again! This time I’ve been dreaming about my perfect bathroom. Unfortunately it isn’t something that’s going to happen any time soon as we need to buy our own home first, which will hopefully be a reality in the next couple of years.

But when we finally do get round to designing our own bathroom, I already know exactly how I’d want it to look. To me a bathroom should be light and bright,  and so I would go for as much white as possible. I would accessories with, yep you guessed it, copper! If you’ve already seen my living room makeover post, you’ll know that I’m a little bit copper obsessed at the moment!

Here are a few things I’ve picked out that would make up my dream bathroom…

PicMonkey Image

1. Copper ceramic bathroom set – Zara Home

I love the pattern on this set and the fact that there is some copper in there 😉 Zara home is one of my favourite places for home accessories, they have some really beautiful and unique things.

2. Freestanding bath – Bathroom City

I have dreamt of having a huge freestanding bath for the longest time. I love having a nice relaxing bath but our current bath is really small because we have such a small bathroom, to have a nice big bath would be amazing! I absolutely love the look of freestanding baths, they make a great focal point in a bathroom.

3. Copper candle – Maisons Du Monde

More coppery goodness! I’m loving geometric patterns too at the moment so this candle would fit right in. I’d reuse the jar once the candle had burnt, maybe for cotton wool balls or cotton buds.

4. Succulent/cactus – B&Q

Cactuses and succulents are everywhere at the moment and I love it! I think they look great and would look especially nice in a bathroom. This one from B&Q is actually plastic, which is probably a good thing for me who can just about manage to kill anything, even cactuses that are apparently easy to look after!

5. Bath mat – Zara Home

I was drawn to the colour of this bath mat, it’s one of my favourite colours and I think it would add a lovely pop of colour to a mainly white bathroom.

6. Wall tiles – Wickes

I know that I would go for white tiles to tie in with the bright, fresh look of the bathroom and I love the brick like shape of these tiles. I think it adds a modern look to a classic white tile.

7. Santoro pedestal basin and toilet – B&Q

I love the contemporary feel of this set, it would match perfectly with the freestanding bath I mentioned earlier. Oh, and the toilet has a soft close seat! That’s the stuff dreams are made of when you live with two small kids that seem to love banging the toilet seat down as hard as they can! Check out this website for reviews on some of the best toilet seats for your home.

8. Copper hexagon mirror – Maisons Du Monde

I love the look of this mirror and I think it would look perfect hung over the sink, at 31cm it is the perfect size.

9. Ceramic floor tiles – Wickes

I had plain white or grey floor tiles in my head but when I saw this flooring whilst browsing the Wickes website I fell a little bit in love! It’s very bold, but I think with the white wall tiles and white bathroom suite these floor tiles would add a bit of interest to the room. I think they are gorgeous, but maybe not to everyone’s taste.

What would your dream bathroom look like?

Thanks for reading.

Love bathrooms and finally got my own one done last year. The highlight for me is a built in bath (although I love the freestanding ones too) that is 1800mm long and 800mm deep so even though it takes gallons of water to fill, I can really relax my almost 6ft self. Love it. I went for a mix of white (bathroom suite and some if the wall tiles) and grey (floor tikes and some of the wall tiles). I used a lavender colour as my accent with towels, candle holders, soaps, etc. Could now spend hours in my bathroom and it also has a velux window over the bath so you can sit in your bubbles looking up at the stars. I really do love it, can you tell??? ??? #picknmix

I love wood with cream travatine tiles and a white suite. I just think wood is warm and I love a classic feel. I would always go with high end hotel type finish as my dream bathroom- pure indulgence! #KCACOLS

Totally gorgeous! I had our bathroom overhauled last year and insisted on glittery pink stone tiles for the floor and a claw foot tub. ‘Cause this house is full of boys and I needed some girliness! These choices are LOVELY! #KCACOLS

the bathtub is probably the only thing I care about when it comes to a bathroom design. Not that I will let me husband have free reign when it comes time to do the renos in there. Luckily (?) have a few more rooms to do first.

Thank you for sharing your ideas! We are doing our ensuite at the moment so it is great to get some inspiration. We are still at the ripping-it-all-out stage at the moment so haven’t chose colours or tiles yet! I love the freestanding bath tub! Too big for our ensuite unfortunately! #KCACOLS

Our bathroom was fairly new when we moved into our house, but our en suite was (and still is) hideous, to the point that we don’t even use it! We’re not going to get round to doing anything about it for a while, but I’m always looking for ideas, so this post is really helpful. I love freestanding baths, and those floor tiles are lovely! I’d never have thought to go for something like that, but I think they’d work really well. Thanks! #KCACOLS

You had me at bathroom! I have been doing the self same thing as we are in the process of a loft conversion and I’ve had to do a fair bit of choosing. I also like the subway tiles for the wall and the patterned floor – I thought I’d chosen a tile but I’m backtracking now wondering if it’s too bold for the size of the area. I am really liking those Wickes ones. Loving your style! How exciting for when your dream bathroom comes to fruition#KCACOLS
