Last weekend we visited Scarborough for the day. We went to the The Sea Life Sanctuary first and then went off to explore the rest of Scarborough.
Scarborough is in North Yorkshire, so a good two hours away from us is Sheffield. We don’t live close to the coast so unfortunately a long journey is unavoidable.
The last time we visited Scarborough was in September 2013, when Max was just a toddler and Evie a baby and honestly it was pretty hard work. Days out are far easier and more enjoyable now that the kids are a little older!
We started off with a wander along the sea front on the North Bay.
The North Bay is well known for it’s beautiful brightly coloured beach huts. I have a bit of a thing for beach huts anyway and the fact that they are rainbow coloured, well of course I just had to snap some photos!
Next we headed down to the South Bay, which is a bit busier and more ‘seasidey’ with arcades, fish and chip shops, donkey rides on the beach etc.
We had a great time walking on the beach, playing in the arcades and Evie’s first ever donkey ride! We finished the day with fish and chips for tea, well it would have been rude not to, wouldn’t it?
You can’t beat a day out at the Great British seaside, can you?
Thanks for reading.
