Bahia De Lobos hotel review

Back in April we stayed at the Labranda Bahia De Lobos Hotel in Fuerteventura. Although it was smaller than any hotel we’ve stayed at before, we actually really liked that about it and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is a recently renovated hotel, which is perfectly located in the centre of Corralejo town.

If you’re looking to book a family holiday to Fuerteventura soon, take a look at our review, as we highly rate the Bahia De Lobos…

The hotel is located in the centre of Corralejo, in the north of the island. It’s very well placed for access to the main strip where you’ll find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. You are also a short 10 minute walk from the beach and very close to Acua Waterpark, which is great for kids.

Also a short drive away are the absolutely stunning Corralejo sand dunes. This was one of the best things we did in Fuerteventura and I would highly recommend going if you’re visiting the island.

Facilities & services

The hotel has three pools in total, including a shallow children’s pool. One of the pools is a quiet, relaxation pool for adults so we didn’t actually get to visit this one with having the children with us. The children’s pool is a decent size but there are no slides, so taking inflatables and other water toys is a good idea.

You’ll also find a small playground on the grounds, which is great and my two really enjoyed playing in there each evening.

Bahia De Lobos offer lots of sport and leisure activities including tennis, football, gym, sauna and massage. Although again we didn’t do any of these as we had the children with us for the most part.

The hotel does have a kids club for children aged 4 to 12 years. Our children did go for a couple of sessions and really enjoyed themselves.

In the evening there is a children’s disco from 8pm, which my two absolutely loved. It was pretty quiet when we went in April so not that many children joined in with the disco. But I’m sure it would be a different story in peak season.

The hotel also has free WiFi, that actually works! Which is more than I can say for some hotels we’ve stayed in.

Restaurants & bars

The main hotel restaurant – Lobos Restaurant – is a buffet-style restaurant with an Italian corner for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Snacks are also served here between 3:30pm and 5pm.

Restaurant Botánico is the more formal of the two restaurants, serving buffet style international and national cuisine. Themed nights take place here three times a week. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at both restaurants, there was a great variety and always something for the kids, who are known to be a little fussy with food!

The pool bar is open from 10am to 6pm each day and serves a selection of soft drinks, beer and coffee/tea.

Faros Club is open each evening from 6:30pm and serves a range of cocktails, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. This is where the evening entertainment takes place including the kids disco.

We stayed in a delux room which was very modern, clean and spacious. The room had a double bed and also a sofa bed which the children slept on.

Also included in the room was a TV, telephone, bathroom with shower, air conditioning and a hairdryer.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Bahia De Lobos and would definitely recommend it. As I mentioned earlier, it is smaller than other hotels we have stayed at previously, but we did really like that about it. The only thing I would say is I would have liked to see some slides or water sprinklers in the kids pool as there really wasn’t that much to keep them entertained. Aside from that we cannot fault our stay at the hotel at all. The food, room and service we received there were all excellent.

We have been thinking of Fuerteventura as so many of our friends have visited and enjoyed it. The hotel you stayed in sounds like it was in a great location and ideal for a family holiday. I visited those sand dunes when I was a teen on a family holiday xx
