It’s not very often that we get to spend time as a family these days, what with both kids being at school and preschool and James usually working weekends. This weekend we finally got the opportunity to get out, all four of us.
We decided to head over to The Longshaw Estate is a National Trust site in the Peak District. It’s only about a 20 minute drive from our house, we are very lucky to have the countryside on our doorstep.
We had a lovely couple of hours exploring, and the kids did brilliantly with their walking and didn’t moan at all.
We did get a little bit lost at one point and I’ll admit I did start to panic and imagine us being lost in the woods as night fell. But obviously that was just me over reacting and we found our way back to the car park eventually!
It was a perfect opportunity for me to get the camera out and I managed to get some lovely shots…
