I think with everything in life it’s important to take a break sometimes. Especially when your job is online. I’m constantly attached to a laptop, camera or phone. Sometimes this means that you miss the important things, because you’re too busy trying to capture the moment.
When you read this we will already be on our holidays (all being well!). I wanted to have blog posts already written, ready to go up while we are away. But that hasn’t happened. And I’m not going to lie, I was really annoyed with myself. But I’ve come to realise that actually it will be a good thing to switch off and take a little break from the blog for a few days.
I’m sure I will still be around on Instagram, I just can’t stay away! And I do have content scheduled to go up over on my YouTube channel. But as for the blog, it’s going to be a little quiet here for the next week.
I want to try my very best to switch off and soak up every moment of this family time. I’m not saying I won’t be taking photos while I’m there, because that’s something I love to do. But I’m going to make a conscious effort to live in the moment a little more.
I was looking back at our Corfu photos from 2016 and although that was less than two years ago, I am blown away by how much the kids have grown up in that short time. Family holidays are incredibly precious and we have so many amazing memories from holidays over the years. But I just need to remember to live it, rather than capture it. Because before we know it they will be grumpy teenagers who no longer want to come on holidays with us!
So this is bye for now, see you when we get back!
Thank you for reading.
