I have had this post sat in my drafts for so long now that we’ve already been on our first break of the year, whoops! So it’s time I stopped procrastinating and got on with writing…
I love reading posts like this so I thought I would do my own. We love travel and over the past few years we’ve had some lovely holidays, both as a family and as a couple. This year is going to be pretty quiet in comparison as we are trying to focus on saving money. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t explore some places closer to home.
Here are our plans for this year…
I’m so late with writing this post that we’ve actually already been to Center Parcs. We went last weekend and loved it. It was our first time there so I wasn’t sure what to expect but we really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back again. I’ll be putting together a blog post soon, so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested.
Amsterdam is somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for years, and we are hoping to go later on this year. We haven’t booked it yet as it depend on our finances at the time. We’re also not sure whether it’s best to go with the kids or without. Have you been before? I’d love to hear your tips.
South of France
Last year we went on a Eurocamp break to Marina Di Venezia, near Venice. It was our very first Eurocamp holiday and we absolutely loved it. We’re hoping to work with Eurocamp again this year and are in the process of getting something booked. We are currently looking at the Esterel campsite, in the South of France. It looks great for the kids and gets brilliant reviews. It’s also close enough to be able to visit Cannes, St Tropez and Nice while we are there.
Legoland mini break
Evie is desperate to visit Legoland in Windsor, so we are hoping to book a mini break for the summer. We would most likely book a cottage or lodge so that we could visit other places in the area while we are there. It’s such a long way to go to only visit Legoland. A couple of summers ago we stayed down in Hastings and drove out to lots of different places. I love road trip holidays like this, it’s such an adventure.
We’ve been to Butlins with the kids twice now, and I used to go when I was little, we all love it. We didn’t get to go last year so we are definitely planning to go this year, hopefully towards the end of the summer holidays. Have you ever been to Butlins? Do you love it as much as we do?
What are your holiday plans for this year? I’d love to know.
Thank you for reading.
