A Winter Walk in Bingley with Wynsors #WalkWithWynsors

A couple of weekends ago we were invited along to the #WalkWithWynsors event in Bingley along with a group of other bloggers. Organised by Wynsors World of Shoes, the idea of the events was to encourage families to spend more time outdoors by doing little weekend activities together.

It was a pretty cold and wet November morning, not ideal but Wynsors had kindly supplied the kids with brand new wellies so we were well prepared for the wet weather. Max chose Minions and Evie chose My Little Pony, they are really chuffed with them.

Wynsors had partnered with The Canal & River Trust and Bingley Walkers are Welcome, who led the walk. The Canal & River trust have the kids a goody bag each which included activities and even a Quack Pack for the ducks. The Quack Packs are part of their Keep Our Ducks Healthy campaign which aims to encourage people to exercise portion control and to swap bread for healthier snacks, such as seeds, fruit and vegetables.

During the walk we got to see the Five Rise Locks which was very interesting for the kids and for myself! I think Max in particular enjoyed hearing about how the lock works.

Unfortunately we had to leave the event a little early, firstly because Max was on the verge of a meltdown! And secondly because he had a birthday party to go to. But we had a brilliant time regardless of this, thank you very much to Wynsors for inviting us.

We also received a goody bag which included waterproof trousers and jackets for the kids which means there is no stopping us getting outdoors now, even if it is raining!
