On Friday me and Evie had a mummy and daughter day, it was the first opportunity we’d had for a while with it being the summer holidays. We decided to do what we do best and went shopping and then for cake!
I’m so proud of Evie this week, she has done so much better at preschool than last week with only a few tears and was really brave when she had her preschool jabs on Monday, so I figured she deserved a treat.
We went shopping first and I let her pick herself something, she chose one of those TY beanies boos (those freaky looking things with the big glittery eyes!) and she was so pleased with it. After that she let me have a quick look around Primark and New Look with only minimal whinging, yay!
Our next stop was for cake of course! We went to a place that’s just opened up near us as I’d heard really good things about it. We certainly weren’t disappointed, Evie’s chocolate fudge cake was huuuge! And I got to try my first ever macaroon, which was delicious!
I absolutely love days like this, when you get to do the things you love whilst spending quality one on one time with one of your children and they behave really well. Don’t get me wrong, some days you take them out and it’s just a nightmare and you wonder why on earth you bother. But sometimes, just sometimes, everything seems to go right and it’s just lovely 🙂
Mummy and son time next I think…
Thanks for reading.

Those are such special times. Glad you both enjoyed 🙂
I have yet to try a macaroon….and well, of course the cake looked yummy 🙂
It is so lovely to have one on one time isn’t it? And that’s what we do best too- shopping and cake! It sounds like a great day just the two of you and now I really fancy a cake tomorrow when I am trying to be good. 😉 xx
Oh what a lovely treat – both for you and her! And I know what you mean about the Beany Boos – my Elma has the pink cat one and she adores it – she called it Meow-on-the-spot – I don’t get it at all!
What a lovely post!
