As someone who enjoys making lists and plans, I absolutely love a bucket list! So at the start of each year I like to write a bucket list for the months ahead. You can read our 2020 bucket list here. I also like to recap at the end of each year to see what we managed to achieve and what we didn’t. It’s a good way to decide what to roll over to the next bucket list, and what to get rid of.
I’ve listed everything that was on our 2019 bucket list below, those in green we did and the red ones we didn’t. As you can see there is quite a lot of red. In fact there is more red than green, eek! I’ll get into the reasons for this in a moment but most of the things in red have been carried over onto this years bucket list and I’ll be making doubly sure that we complete them this time.

OK, so the things we did manage to do were a Eurocamp holiday, ticked another UK city off our checklist (although I would have liked this to have been more!), I found my spark for taking photos again and I’ve definitely become more organised. Organisation is always a work in progress though and I guess we all have days or even weeks where we let things slide, but on the whole I have been so much better with organising blog work, the house, the kids etc and it feels good!
So what didn’t we managed to do? We didn’t go to Butlins or Amsterdam, although to be honest that was probably a little ambitious because we already had a few holidays planned for 2019. The good news is that we are definitely going to Butlins this year and have already got that booked. Amsterdam however will have to go on the back burner for now. It’s still somewhere I would love to visit but it just isn’t a priority for 2020.
We also didn’t manage to save much money but I am determined that this is the year for that and fingers crossed we’ll achieve our goal of becoming homeowners before the end of the year.
Creating videos was also a fail but again, this is one that has been carried over to this years list as it’s something that I would really like to get back into.
And finally, I wanted to be healthier in 2019 but ended up being quite the opposite and have gained quite a bit of weight. My mental health improved loads though which is amazing but I didn’t eat any better or exercise, so that’s another one for this year.
