little princess trust

So today Evie had her hair cut to donate to the Little Princess Trust. She had 8″ cut off in total and also managed to raise £140 for charity. We are so proud of her!

If you don’t know anything about Little Princess Trust they provide real hair wigs to children and young people with hair loss, as well as funding vital research into childhood cancer. You can donate your hair if it is a minimum of 7 inches, send it in by post and it will be made into a wig for a child who needs it.

“We use hair donations and fundraising monies sent to us by our amazing supporters, to manufacture and fit our beautiful real hair wigs. Established in 2006, we have supplied over 8000 wigs to children and young people and have invested circa £5 million into ground-breaking childhood cancer research.”

This was Evie’s hair today, just before her appointment…

She had been so excited about getting it cut but she did get a little bit nervous before her appointment, which I guess is to be expected. She was also very quiet while her hair was being cut so I was worried that she was going to end up regretting it! Luckily she didn’t.

The lovely Rebecca Colley at the Hair Office in Sheffield cut Evie’s hair free of charge which was so kind of her.

It was quite emotional for me seeing her beautiful hair being cut off. As I mentioned in my last post, she was a real baldy baby and it took ages for her hair to start growing. Her beautiful hair colour and curls got her compliments everywhere we went.

The grand reveal. This is her hair after the chop…

8″ of golden curls donated and one very happy little girl. She loves her new hair cut and we are all very proud of her for doing something so selfless.

If you would like to donate you can still do so, it’s not too late. Click here to donate.

Thank you for reading.
