Half term week started out a little bit stressful as the kids were being difficult to say the least. Luckily my husband was off work for the first half of the week so the extra pair of hands was greatly appreciated!
Evie in particular has been really hard work recently and she seems to be worse when daddy is around, I think it’s because she’s such a daddy’s girl and she’s used to getting her own way with him. Combine that with being a threenager and you’ve got yourself a devil child.
Despite the kids behaviour, on Wednesday we headed over to the Longshaw Estate to do their Halloween family trail. Thankfully the day went really well, both kids behaved brilliantly and we all had a lovely day. I think the fresh air did us all some good!
The kids absolutely loved exploring the woods, searching for hidden creepy creatures in the trees and collecting things to put in the witches cauldron!
The rest of the week it’s just been me and the kids, we’ve been out and about running errands, getting hair cuts, attending appointments, going to soft play and seeing friends so we’ve been pretty busy. Luckily bribing them with shopkins has helped keep their behaviour in check for the most part 😉
Being a mum can be really really tough some times, in fact most of the time at the moment! But those precious days when everything is perfect, those are the days that I live for and that make all the hard work very much worth while.
They may drive me mad but I love these crazy people <3
