Dylon recently sent me some of their machine dyes to try out, I had never used them before so was keen to give them a try.
Dylon did also send me some of their hand dyes, so I tried a spot of tie dying with those and was really pleased with how it turned out.
I had a few pairs of old faded jeans that were in desperate need of refreshing so I decided to use the machine dyes on these.
The machine dyes are super easy to use, some already have salt included so you literally just pop the dye into your washing machine, put your fabric in and run a 40 degree cycle. When it has finished you then run another 40 degree wash, and that’s it! Really simple.
Before
Here are my jeans before dying. The ones on the right weren’t too bad to be honest but you can really see the difference after dying the ones on the left.
After
As good as new!
Before
Max’s jeans had faded a lot over time, especially on the knees.
After
I think the difference in these is amazing, they look like brand new pairs of jeans. I am so pleased with these results.
I would definitely recommend Dylon machine dyes, they are really easy to use and do a great job of bring your old faded denim back to life!
There are lots of other colours to choose from so you certainly don’t have to stick to dying denim. Old tshirts, dress, tablecloths, bed sheets etc and in pretty much any colour you can think of!
