Review & Giveaway | Best Relationship with your Child DVDs

IMG_9530

Over the past few weeks ago we have been watching these parenting DVDs from parenting expert and best selling author Dr Margot Sunderland.

These DVDs are packed full of helpful advice and tips on how to spend quality time with  your child. It’s all too easy these days to just let the kids play on their iPads or sit infront of the TV, we forget about the importance of having fun and playing with our children.

A ‘must have’ film for parents and professionals.

The loveliest ways of being and playing together.

Best Relationship with Your Child: The First Five Years

The first DVD in the series is aimed at younger children and starts by explaining why play is so important at this young age. It includes lots of ideas on how and what to play with your child and discusses the importance of communication, attachment play and physical play with children.

Parenting expert Dr Margot Sunderland will equip you with the tools, skills and practical ideas to make the time you spend with your child or children as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. Using the latest neuroscience research and illustrated throughout with the most delightful footage of parent-child quality time, this film has been specifically designed to support your relationship with your child in amazing ways. All communicative tools and relational games shown in the film will enhance both bonding & the child’s brain development: not only enriching your relationship now, but as an investment for life.

Best Relationship with Your Child: Age Five to Twelve

The second DVD in the series is aimed at older children, from five years right up to twelve. It definitely gets harder to spend quality time with children as they get older, I know since Max started school it’s been difficult to fit that time in and I had lost sight of how important it is to play together. This DVD has given me some great tips on how to engage with him, and how to have fun!

In middle childhood many parents feel disheartened and de-skilled about maintaining regular quality time with their child. The increased independence, the allure of technology, hobbies, and time spent with peers can be strong. So this film is designed to empower and inspire parents and professionals to engage their five to twelve year olds in attachment play and relational games that deepen bonding and strengthen their relationships in amazing ways. Through a wealth of delightful footage, parents and professionals will gain a fabulous resource of practical ideas to make the time spent with their five to twelve year old, fun, engaging and deeply rewarding.

Best Relationship with Your Child: Creative Quality Time

The final DVD in the series is geared towards creative play. There’s a wealth of ideas for play such as puppet play, sensory play, messy play, and story time. Me and the kids can’t wait to put these ideas into practice and have some fun!

With all the pressures of modern day parenting, quality time with your baby or child has never been more precious. Many parents want something deeper and more significant than the usual going to the park, the playgroup or watching TV together. This film will offer that. It’s packed with ideas for together times to strengthen your relationship in enduring ways, offering the richest shared experiences. The creative activities for quality time are designed to transport you together into the world of sensation, imagination, wonder, delight and shared laughter. Using the latest brain science research and featuring footage of the loveliest parent-child connections, this film aims not only to enrich your relationship now, but to create memories for life.

Would love to win prize. Great topics. Relationships are important. There seems to be much in regards to early years, maybe because our culture seems to value Babies. Motherhood seems another topic were there is vast information, advice etc. Thank goodness Dads (Fathers) are now recognised, considered etc. Sometimes GrandParents are acknowledged, though to me more work is needed. As there are many GrandParents who are raising their Grandchildren whilst Parents work etc. What about other relatives :- such as Aunts, Uncles, cousins etc. As it would seem that a Social network is needed in order to fulfill Happy, Healthy individuals.

Children grow up, their whole life is important. What about when they are teenagers, Adults, Parents etc. Seems many children are self interested rather than Socially Competent. Maybe due to encouragement to look out for Self, popular use of technology etc.

Seems there is much to be done to build Healthy Communities and Society. relationships are an important and Essential aspect.
