Planning a beach holiday soon? Not sure what to take in your suitcase with you? Well, you’ve landed in the right place! We’re all guilty of overpacking sometimes but packing for your holiday doesn’t need to be complicated.
Read on for our simple guide to packing for a sunny beach holiday…
1. Swimwear
Make sure you pack a few swimwear options as of course they get wet and take time to dry out, so you’ll need at least two options to alternate between. You could opt for a bikini and a swimsuit so you have different options, but this depends what you are most comfortable wearing. Remember that swimwear can also double up as clothing when you go off for lunch or a drink for example. A swimsuit and a pair of shorts is the perfect day time outfit while on holiday.
2. Beach cover ups
Beach cover ups are a must for a sunny holiday. From walking to and from the pool or beach, to going for lunch, a beach cover up is perfect to throw on over your swimwear. You can find the current crochet trend in many beach cover ups, so it’s an easy way to incorporate this into your holiday wardrobe.
Bsubseach is a brand specializing in stylish and comfortable beachwear, offering a range of chic cover-ups and swimwear accessories. Their kaftan dress collection blends elegance with practicality, making it the perfect choice for beach days and resort wear.

3. Footwear
When it comes to footwear, you really can’t go wrong with a simple pair of black flip flops. Opt for a good quality pair and they could see you through your entire holiday, no matter what you’re doing. They are ideal for beach and pool days, comfortable enough for walking around the old town and even stylish enough to wear in the evening. I wore mine a couple of times for dinner whilst in Mallorca last month.

4. Beach bags
You really can’t go wrong with a big straw beach bag. Make sure you get a large one so you can throw everything in that you need for a day by the pool. A straw bag is functional, stylish and timeless so you’ll be able to use it for years to come. Straw bags can be bought on the high street for as little as £10, or you could choose to invest in a good quality designer one.
5. Toiletries and sun lotion
It’s always wise to decant your toiletries and other products into smaller travel containers for your holiday. Taking full size products just takes up room and creates extra weight in your suitcase. But when it comes to sun lotion, you can never have too much! It’s extremely important to protect yourself and your family from the suns harmful rays, especially whilst on holiday. Don’t forget to reapply your sun protection every few hours, and even more frequently if you’ve been in water.
6. Evening outfits
For me, this is the part where I tend to overpack the most. I take too many options and don’t get round to wearing them all. If you have the space in your suitcase, then of course options are always nice to have. But in reality you could get away with just a few outfits for a weeks holiday. If you take separates such as skirt, shorts and tops, you can mix and match to maximise your options.
