The portal says the report was passed with 34 votes in favor, 5 votes against, and 20 abstentions. It also says that negotiations on the final details will begin after the EU parliament announces interinstitutional negotiations on the file and there are no complaints.
How the platform works
Visa applicants will be able to present all required data on this platform, pay their visa costs, upload electronic copies of their travel and other supporting documents, and pay for their visas. They will likewise be informed of the decisions made regarding their visa.
Only people applying for a visa for the first time, people whose biometric data are no longer valid, and people who have recently received a new travel document will be required to appear in person at the consulate.
