JEWELLERY TRENDS TO SPICE UP YOUR AUTUMN OUTFITS

JEWELLERY trends

I love my jewellery and although I don’t wear loads of it at one time, I would feel naked leaving the house without my necklace or rings! I’m pleased to see that some of my favourite jewellery trends are sticking around for autumn, as well as a couple of new and very exciting trends making an appearance.

Autumn is my absolute favourite season to dress for and I find that jewellery really helps to bring an outfit together. Jewellery compliments the tones and textures in our fashion pieces and can also take an outfit from day to night. For me, jewellery is a very important part of any outfit.

Emerald green

One of the big jewellery trends for the autumn is green. I’m a big fan of green, not only is it the colour of my birth stone but it’s also my eye colour and the colour that I find suits me the best.

Emeralds are simply stunning, by far my favourite precious stone. There is something quite captivating about them. If your budget doesn’t stretch to genuine emeralds, there are plenty of budget friendly alternatives out there. My hexagon shaped green onyx ring from Daisy Jewellery is beautiful and bang on this trend at a more affordable price.

Huggies

Like me, I’m sure that many of you will be pleased to hear that huggies aren’t going anywhere! I have quite a collection of cute huggie earrings now and they are so easy to wear, yet really add a cool look to your outfit. The photo below shows two of my favourite pairs, gorgeous aren’t they? Cute huggies are the reason I now have more ear piercings than this and still feel I need more!

Gold

Gold, gold, gold! My all time favourite metal and I am so pleased to see it’s sticking around. I am literally never without my gold coin necklace as pictured below or my dainty rings.

But there’s a twist… mixed metals. On the runway we’ve seen a lot of mixed metal jewellery so expect to see a lot more of this from jewellery retailers this season. You could also wear a mixture of gold and silver jewellery yourself, as a nod to this emerging trend.

Make a statement

Be bold with statement jewellery this autumn. Think big earrings, oversized necklaces and chunky rings. Dainty jewellery is still around, and still adorable but bold statement pieces are going to be big this season…

Bangles

Bangles were all the rage when I was growing up in the 90’s. The more the merrier, and actually it was pretty cool if your bangles went all the way from your wrist to your elbow! I don’t think we’ll be seeing exactly that this time around, but you can definitely expect to see more chunky bangles around over the coming months.

Natural elements

We’re seeing a lot of natural elements such as florals and shells this season. Daisy Jewellery have a great range of rings and other jewellery featuring natural elements. The shell ring below is adorable, don’t you think? It’s great to wear on it’s own or stacked with other pieces. The palm signet rings shown below also fits well with this trend. If you’re used to wearing dainty jewellery, this one is a great way to add some bigger and bolder pieces without being too out there.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading this post and seeing what jewellery trends to expect this autumn. As I said earlier, it’s good to see some trends are sticking around but I’m also very excited for the newer, more bold trends that are making an appearance. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Thank you for reading.
