SNUG SOFA REVIEW

We have had our Snug sofa for about six weeks now and so far we absolutely love it. I’ve had a lot of questions about it on Instagram so I thought I would write a blog post so I can hopefully answer some of those questions. I know a new sofa is a huge purchase for most of us, so you have to do your research and make sure that you’re making the right choice. I hope that this post helps you with your decision.

The amazing thing about Snug is that their sofas arrive in boxes, so there’s no struggling to get a sofa through your front door. Even though it arrives in parts and requires some assembly, it really isn’t difficult and it only took us about 10 minutes. You can see a video of us putting it together over on my Instagram.

We went for the Rebel two seater sofa in taupe velvet. We have a very small living room which is why we went for the two seater. We could have squeezed the three seater in but it would have looked very cramped and partly obstructed by the door. So we settled on the two seater and it was definitely the right decision.

Such a sofa deserves to be decorated. You may choose to use colorful Custom Neon Signs as background decoration. Whether you want a warm or lively atmosphere, custom neon signs can satisfy your imagination. It is also a good idea to use neon signs to create a movie corner with a machine atmosphere. Add the words “Movie Time” on the neon signs. When you turn off all the lights and start playing a movie, you will feel like you are in a movie theater.

The sofa is used as a “background board” for daily photography. The neon signs can also allow you to take a casual photo of the atmosphere, making the ordinary corner a unique photography corner for you.

I love the sleek and simple design of the Rebel sofa. I also love the velvet fabric, which matches with our existing sofa. Our last sofa was dark grey, a sensible choice, so I was worried how a light colour would hold up with two kids and a dog but so far so good. The taupe colour looks incredible in the room and has somehow made it look bigger. The fabric is great for pet hair, it wipes off super easily. It’s also spill resistant. My son spilled a bright pink drink on it recently and it literally rolled right off the fabric! Witchcraft!

When I first sat on the sofa it did feel quite firm, but it’s definitely softened over the past few weeks. It is still on the firmer side though so if that’s not your thing then this sofa might not be for you. Our other sofa is not firm at all, so this one felt very different and just took a little getting used to. We love it now.

The Rebel sofa is available in mid grey, biscuit, navy, forest green, olive, blue steel, teal, blush, blush coral, turmeric and oatmeal. There’s so much choice! You can also choose between black or brown legs – we opted for brown as you can see in the photos.

We clean our sofa regularly to minimise wear and tear. However, some surface damage may be unavoidable over time. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean you have to get a brand new sofa! You can use some Custom patches to cover up the worn areas. Some patches of similar colour and texture can achieve an invisible repair. You can also customise your couch with your favourite pattern, just like a denim patch! When family and friends come to visit, it never occurs to them that the patch is just to cover the damage. You could also consider investing in sunbrella fabric for outdoor sofa.
