SPRING HOME UPDATES WITH DESENIO

As you all know, we moved into our new house last year and after many months of renovating, the inside of the house is now finished. But with spring now arriving, I decided I wanted to make a few little changes to make the house feel a bit fresher. I’ve been a big fan of wall art from Desenio for a long time, so I decided a few new print for the walls would be a great way to spruce things up ready for spring.

Keep reading to find out more about Desenio and to see which prints I went for…

“Our business idea is simple: stylish wall art should be affordable to everyone.

At Desenio, you will find Scandinavia’s widest range of posters along with frames, hangers, picture ledges and clips. We frequently add new items to our range, in order to keep abreast of the latest interior and Scandinavian designs. We have something to suit every room and style of interior.”

The first print that I picked out is this Kyoto flower market poster, which I’ve had my eye on for a while. I love the light blues and pinks and the simple yet interesting design. I added a black metal frame to this print to compliment the black text in the poster. I think it looks great in my kitchen, what do you think?

I also went for the La Botanique poster because the pattern and colours just scream spring, don’t you agree? I went for this one in a smaller size and decided to prop it up on my kitchen worktop. This is a good idea if you are renting and aren’t able to hammer nails into the walls. Get creative – there are plenty of spaces in your home where you could easily rest your prints without damaging your walls.

Next up is this abstract floral print. Again, I had had my eye on this for a little while after seeing it on Instagram. I went for this in a larger size and I like that it’s quite a statement piece without being too distracting in the room. I chose the light oak frame for this print, which I think works beautifully. Desenio have lots of abstract art available at the moment, which I am very much enjoying.

For something a little more fun I picked out this avoir la peche print to put in our downstairs toilet. There’s a bit of a theme of pink in this haul and I’m loving it. Pink is just the best colour for spring if you ask me. I’m undecided whether to keep this one here or to move it up to our bathroom. Knowing me, I’ll just keep moving it around on a weekly basis because I can’t leave things alone for long!

Finally, I went for this peachy abstract number. I chose this one for a couple of reasons, the first being that the tones match really well with the decor in my kitchen and in particular with the paint colour on the chimney breast. Secondly, I liked that it’s very simple and understated, as some of the other prints in this order are quite bold and I wanted the option to change the prints up when I felt like it.
